God thoughts
Great moments
Let's share it !

What tailoring grapevines means for me

Letting the best of every individual grapevine express itself, because I believe that even plants live adventures, their way, and tasting that distillate makes me feel good !

Values

Plants offer freely their fruits, let's offer them the best pruning practices possible in return.

Mission

I fell in love with the lifestyle of growing plants. I want to share this passion with vineyards by contributing to improve their situation.

Vision

Since improvement is an iterative process, I look forward to work with wineries year round, in different world regions, to offer compounded knowledge in my services.

My Pruning Highlights

* Jn 2026

"You can't know for sure what you don't measure."

On my pruning journey, analyzing my stats according to their contextual situation, upgraded my comprehension of the vines' balance.

I wish it to be the same for you !

My Grapevine Experiences

How did I become a gravevine pruning geek ?

Growing plants regroups so many facets, so many we can't control, thus nailing down those we can makes a difference. Since all of the facets are closely interrelated, knowing the whole cycle plays an important part in achieving a season conscentiously.

Grapevine Pruning

  • Vineyard Technician 2024-26

    Sainte-Catherine Vineyard - Ste-Catherine-de-Hatley, Qc, CA
Provided guidance to new vineyard owner in the restructuring of 4600 old and overgrown vines, while maintaining consistent yields and cutting the pruning time by 11.5% and 32,5% for two different varietals.

  • Vineyard Pruner 2024

    Saint-Gabriel Vineyard - St-Gabriel-de-Brandon, Qc, CA
    Pruned 5 000 vines in 25 days.
They were not shoot thined chandelier vines of one foot tall.

  • Vineyard Pruner 2023

Noble Ridge Vineyards & Winery - Okanagan Falls, B.C., CA
Pruned around 10 000 vines in 20 days.
They were shoot thined bilateral spur cordon vines of 3 feet tall.

Shoot Thinning & Plant Vigor Balance

  • Vineyard Contractor 2026

Domaine Bergeville Vineyard - North Hatley, Qc, CA
Learned the intricacies of the energetic potential of 4 year grapevines guided in Simonit & Sirch bilateral Poussard recane structure for cold climate sparkling wines.

  • Agri-Business Associate Degree
National Organic Agriculture Institute - Victoriaville, Qc, CA
    2016-21

I graduated in the Fruit Production Specialization, where we learned for a wide variety of trees and bushes, on which age of wood they produce their fruits.

On my second intership, with my team we were responsible of 3 fruit productions at the school orchard, which included grapevines.

The plant vegetative/productive ratio balance was a notion we covered right from the start in our general horticulture 45h course.

My Holistic Agri-Business Comprehension

Comes from these major experiences

My Business Facet

  • A Business Plan 2021

Two semesters to write every aspect of it. Starting from the PESTEL analysis, then thinking through the production and marketing plans, and budgeting on 5 year predictions.

  • A Self Employed Lifestyle 2021-today

Being a seasonal traveler taught me to constantly be curious, to see unexpected turns as adventures and to go out of my confort zone while feeling serene in it.

  • Sainte-Catherine
    Vineyard & Winery
    2024-2026

With the vineyard manager, we started cocreating their wines and that made me feel where I am supposed to be.

My Agronomic Facet

  • Human Adapt the Environment 2015-2026

From outdoor farming to indoor greenhouses, from horticulture flower-beds to various fruit orchards, I have realized that the major common issue is that we try to grow plants where they don't naturally belong.

  • Plants Adapt
    to the Environment
    2022-2025

To follow up on the previous thought, I see that modern humans have a tendency to adapt the environnement to the plant, when doing the opposite would drastically reduce the friction.

  • Geology, Climate & Chemistry 2019-2026

Since 2019, I took chemistry courses and I am self learning global climate basics to upgrade my view point of the big forces at stake in the growing process of each site.

methods for the oyster mushroom.

My Agriculture Journey
Started in BC

2015 - I discovered agriculture with cherries, in BC.

2016 - I went to this organic agriculture institut, in QC.

2019 - I did an interneship at the CETAB+ R&D centre.

2021 - After I graduated, I went travelling to  discover and understand multiple agri-business models from CSA veggie farms, mushroom picking, tree planting, various types of orchards, seed productions and many more.

Since my associate degree I realized how hard it was to implement respectfull environmental practices AND still be sustainably profitable.

Until this day, I am on the quest to co-develop profitable business models in this line of thought.

Same for 🍷🍇,
it all Started in BC

I learned pruning in school with tomatoes where the balance between the amount of fruits and leaves would need to equate a certain ratio. Just to find out later that it was the same for pretty much every plant.

I started pruning perennials with blueberry bushes in Québec and it hooked me. The next spring, in 2023, I pruned grapevines for the first time, in Okanagan Falls. After three gapevine pruning seasons I realized how geek I had become about this discipline.

Now I see myself pruning and shoot thinning in every part of the world year around. Starting in BC, QC, Australia, then back to QC and someday in Europe aswell.

The team I started picking grapes with, in Oliver & Osoyoos, in 2022.

Oh yeah, by the way... I'm a travel lover !

I'm opened to win-win deal suggestions
concerning accomodations and transport availability.
